Sally Beck (Mattschoss) has a degree in Business and Economics and has worked in the banking sector since 2007, working most recently as the Small Business Specialist with ANZ. Sally has always has a passion for baking and has turned this hobby into a successful small business supplying local cafes with her delicious melting moments and other products.
Originally from the York Peninsula, she moved to Mount Gambier in 2008 to pursue her career. Sally recently married her partner Jimmy on his family farm in Mingbool and loves the diversity that the South East has to offer.
Sally brings a practical knowledge of small business and banking to the Board plus her event management skills. Sally joined the WiBRD Board in 2010 and is currently Chairperson.
Di Ind is the Managing Director of Di-Monty Training Solutions, a business she cofounded in 2008. Prior to this Di Spent over 20 years working in retail, in particular KFC where she led a team of approximately 500 people to achieve the highest per restaurant average sales nationally which resulted in record profit results annually.
Di lives in Mount Gambier with her partner, having returned here after working in Adelaide for 20 years
Di joined the Board of WiBRD in 2013, bringing her outstanding skills in leadership, motivation and business to the Board. Di is currently Deputy Chairperson.
Tammy Whitehead is currently owner and Director of Glenara Transport Pty Ltd and Whiteheads Timber Sales retail yards. She has performed a wide variety of roles in public service, hospitality, timber processing, transport, farming and retail over the past 30 years. Tammy has a degree in Business and is a qualified company director.
Tammy is originally from Edenhope but now calls Portland home! She has a 20 year old son Jack who has recently returned from working in Vietnam for the last two years.
Tammy joined the Board of WiBRD in 2010, bringing her outstanding skills in business, finance and Corporate Governance to WiBRD.
Judy McKay works for South Australian Dental Services based in the Mount Hospital as a Dental Therapist providing dental services to children aged between 0-18 years. She recently completed her Bachelor of Management (Human Resource Management and Honours Degrees at the University of South Australia).
Judy was born in Mount Barker, moved to Adelaide where she met her husband Neil. They re-located to Mount Gambier where they have brought up their three daughters. She has been actively involved in the community, especially netball, basketball and on the Mount Gambier High School council for 10 years and brings a wealth of contacts and networks to the Board.
Judy joined the board in 2013 and has used her management skills in networking, event management and marketing to revitalise local network events.
Christine Hulford joined the Board of Women in Business in 2013. Christine has been a property mentor with The Investor’s Club for the past six years and prior to this owned and operated Microwave Inspecta for 3 years, with her husband Paul, winning Outstanding Business Award.
Christine has lived in Mount Gambier for the 29 years
Christine brings a broad knowledge of successfully running a business and building and maintaining relationship to Women in Business Board.
Des Noll is the Program Manager with Noorla Yo-Long. He is a police officer with extensive experience in community engagement, corporate governance and relationship management.
Des lives at Millicent with his partner and is actively involved in the community both professionally and personally.
Des’ work in developing positive cultures and teamwork were sought be the WiBRD Board and we welcomed him as a new Board member in 2013.
Emma Koch, Redden Bridge wines – Chairperson until March 2014. Now in a leave of absence due to relocating to Oakbank.
Maria Gentile, Caffe Belgiorno – long standing Board member. Resigned in June 2014 due to work and family commitments.
