2020 – Helen Stock

Helen was the Inaugural chair of Women in Business & Regional Development and served on the committee from 1998 to 2003 and on the South East Area Consultative Committee. Along with Nancy, she was the Founding Member of Foundation for Australian Agricultural women, a direct voice to Federal government.

Through her committee and board commitments, Helen has made significant contributions to industry, community and education. She has worked on reference groups for SA for the wool industry, rural women for Justice, initiated Leadership courses for women at TAFE and has been a member of different community steering committees. She has been awarded recognition for her services to SA Education and was the Inaugural Director of Lucindale Kindergarten and Toy Library among others.

Helen, with her husband Bill, having completed their farms succession plan with their sons, are now enjoying retirement. But this is no quiet retirement. They have 6 grandchildren, Helen is still an avid community contributor and they also enjoy many a canoeing adventures in Canada, Alaska and The Amazon.
