Nancy served on the Women in Business & Regional Development board from 1998 – 2009 as Chair, Deputy Chair and committee member. For Nancy, the passion and enthusiasm of our region’s women has been what drives her.

A former Veterinary Nurse in Mt Gambier, she was also for many years involved in a family farming enterprise in the Limestone Coast raising Beef cattle and sheep. For the last 16 years Nancy has managed a cattle and sheep property near Casterton, Vic. She has bred and worked Australian Working Kelpies for 45 years under the stud name Pomanda.

Nancy was one of the first TAFE qualified trainers in Working Dog Training and also Farm Safety. She has served on several Boards and Committees from Education to Natural Resource Management. Nancy’s voice for Rural women was recognised when she was named S.A. ABC Rural Woman of the Year in 1996. Nancy has two sons and daughters in law and five grandchildren and although the property in Casterton has been sold, Nancy continues to raise cattle and help on her son’s farm.
